Designed by Peter Marino, the flagship New Bond Street store of major fashion house Chanel, has beautiful finishes and surfaces throughout the store.

 

We were commissioned to design and manufacture over 180m2 of bespoke cast metal panels with a textured, bronze finish. The panels provide a luxurious feel as one moves between different areas of the store, the portals giving a consistent design theme.

 

The 82 wall and soffit panels varied in size up to 3.2m x 1.8m, with the heaviest panel weighing over 200kg.

 

No visible fixings were allowed and with only a 10mm shadow gap at the side a unique fixing system was required. The system was engineered by Graphic Relief to allow the panels to be precisely located and securely fixed in position.

 

The sand cast panels have a subtle, linear pattern whilst retaining the richness of an as-cast finish.
